Ecpr: "Readings in Greek Political Fiction"

I thought you might be interested in this subject:
"Readings in Greek Political "Fiction".

The word fiction has been placed in quotation marks, as it is not actually about fiction, in the full sense of the word. However, due to an abudant use of metaphors, or narrations, it resembled fiction.

The present abstract was written seven years ago and was included in ECPR site (see D. Kioukias, Research Gate). It has taken the form of a brief methodological proposal, while it has been utilized in some of my works, dating back to the early 2010s.

A new and enriched version is to be found in "Learning and Going Further: Selected Classics and Modern Politics", Lambert, July 2018 (see in previous pages).

The original ancient Greek texts have been published in Greece long ago. For a rudimentary bibliography see the above mentioned work.

By way of a final note I would say that the view that writing is a vehicle for making known philosophical thought (M. Veggeti 2018) is a quite old discovery. In more general terms we define History and Civilization on the basis of the existence of written sources. Yet, I guess it is not a historian's wish to reinvent the wheel.

More about the subject may be discussed on another occasion, as long as we still accept the notion of book presentation and critique.

Thank you for your attention,

Dimitris Kioukias
